Our immersive Bobsleigh Driving School is the entry point for youth and adults interested in becoming bobsleigh pilots. Open to individuals aged 16 and older, this five-day camp provides foundational skills in a focused, high-energy environment.
Held three to four times per winter between December and March, the program blends classroom learning with on-ice training. Participants begin their sliding from Curve 7 (two-thirds up the track) and train in either monobob or 2-man bobsleigh. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, athletes alternate between piloting and braking, gaining a well-rounded understanding of sled dynamics and team coordination (read more about our coaches here).
By the end of the Driving School, participants will have developed the core techniques required to pilot a bobsleigh and be prepared to progress into the Bobsleigh Progression Camps.
These camps serve as a platform for further skill refinement, allowing athletes to progress toward developing the skills needed to either progress to the National Team program or become a pilot for the Passenger Bobsleigh activity.
