What to Expect?

Please make sure to read our Know Before You Go page before arriving at the Whistler Sliding Centre. After checking in at Guest Services, your Summer Bobsleigh Experience will begin with an orientation about your ride and track etiquette. After the orientation, you will go on an exclusive track walk with your guide, see the track from an athlete’s perspective, and learn about the sports and history of the Olympic legacy venue. Your team will also line up for your commemorative photo, which you will obtain free of charge after the ride. After arriving at your start position, you will be fitted with a helmet.

With the assistance of the track crew, you and your team — including your trained pilot — will be seated in the sled and go through the final safety checks. Listen as your team’s names will be announced on the big speakers. Once the control tower gives your sled the green light, the track crew will give you a push, and it’s “bobsleigh in track” for you, your pilot, and your fellow participants. As you will accelerate down the track, lean into the corners to assist your steering pilot in reaching top speeds of up to 90 km/hr in the final corner. The uphill outrun will slow you to a stop, and the track crew will assist you in exiting the sled. High-five with your pilot and crew, and review the video of your ride.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We booked the Whistler Sliding Centre as one of the featured activities during our company retreat, and it was an absolute hit. From the very beginning, the booking process was fantastic. Bruce, Philipe and the team were incredibly responsive, easy to work with and flexible every step of the way. We originally planned the experience for our employees, but later decided to invite spouses as well, which significantly increased our group size. They didn't miss a beat—they simply adapted and made the entire experience seamless for our group of 48. The experience itself? Wow. Walking the track, hearing stories from the drivers, and then actually getting into the sled was unlike anything most of us had ever done. What a rush! The feedback from our team has been incredible. So many people said it was a 10/10 experience and that they'd do it again in a heartbeat. It's one of those activities we'll be talking about for a very long time. If you're looking for a truly memorable group experience in Whistler, we couldn't recommend the Whistler Sliding Centre more highly.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
What an incredibly fun activity! We took part as a group of 4, and didn’t really know what to expect. The entire experience was more than we were imagining when we booked. The background and history of the track and sport was a really interesting way to start the day and get us prepared for the main event. I really liked knowing that this is a not for profit, and that this fun activity we planned was actually helping to support our local athletes and teams to continue within their sports.
Our of our tour guides were informative and made us feel safe and confident in the process. The best part (of course) was the final ride down the track. When they tell you it’s fast, believe them!
So. Much. FUN!!!

Incredible experience! This is a unique opportunity to see and try a world-class facility. The staff are super friendly and are all involved in the training of the athletes that compete at the top levels. The best part is that it’s not for profit and all the money goes to help fund the facility. Don’t miss out!
