Registration Details

Program registration for 2023/24 is now open. Sliding will start in November 2023.

The Development Luge Program is open for children/youth ages 13 and older who want to progress in the sport of luge and are working towards moving up into the Canadian Luge Association’s NextGen group.

This full-year program includes two to five days of dryland training during the off-season and up to six on-ice training sessions per week throughout the winter (learn more about our coaches here). Athletes who are new to the program or in their first year can enroll without committing to summer training.

Children/youth (ages 13 +) who want to progress in the sport of luge, no previous experience needed

Full-year program

May to October: Summer training/off-ice (wheeled luge, dryland and flat ice start training)
November to March: On-ice luge training and races

Training Fees

$5,000 (includes 5-6 sessions/week on-ice training and summer training)

Seasonal/On-Ice Only

3 sessions/week: $1,800 (no summer training)
5-6 sessions/week: $2,700 (no summer training)

All fees and payments can be adjusted to your needs.

Luge-specific equipment (helmet, visors, suits, shoes, and gloves) are available for purchase.
Cost includes all training sessions and coaching, as well as the use of a luge sled.
Later program start is possible (pro-rated).
Race fees & travel costs are not included in program fees.
