For Immediate Release
Whistler Olympic Park enjoys successful second weekend!
Whistler, BC: Whistler Sport Legacies is delighted to announce that Whistler Olympic Park (WOP) has officially kicked off its 2011-2012 season! Our second weekend of operation was a great success with ideal early season conditions under sunny skies. Grooming operations have expanded, food services have been enhanced, and non-ski activities are now underway!
Most trails in the Olympic Plateau area have been groomed, and Norwegian Woods opened on schedule over the weekend, which is accessible from the Olympic Plateau trails via Inside Passage or Olympic Connector, and up Madeley Creek Loop. Whistler Olympic Park has received authorization from the Ministry of Forests to groom Madeley Lake Trail which will commence this weekend. Dog-friendly trails are as popular as ever with new, easier access parking directly onto Porters Glide and Brandywine View trail.
The whistlerolympicpark.com website offers some new features this year – visit the “Trails & Conditions” section for ski trail conditions, weather conditions and forecast, and webcams. The trail conditions chart can be sorted by clicking on the column headers.
