Filming FAQ’s
Do we need a Film Liaison?
Yes, all filming at Whistler Sport Legacies (WSL) venues requires a WSL staff liaison. Scouting visits must be pre-arranged through WSL. There is no fee for the initial scouting visit. Subsequent scouting visits will be charged a $50 hourly fee. This fee will be applied to the overall cost if a location agreement is signed.
Can flexible filming times be arranged?
Yes, please contact Cathy Jenkins at cjenkins@whistlersportlegacies.com or 604 964-0044.
Is there on-site parking?
Yes, we have large, secure parking areas close to key film sites for crews, extras, equipment trucks, and production vehicles. We can also provide parking and holding areas for filming which takes place in other Whistler locations.
Are there washroom facilities available?
Yes, there are washroom facilities available on-site. As we are sport venues, the needs of our athletes are considered first and foremost. For this reason we may request that you bring in your own portable washroom units.
Is power available?
Yes, in most all cases, there is a power supply available.
Do we offer competitive pricing?
Yes, our fees are in line with the industry standard. We are a not-for-profit organization and the proceeds from all venue rentals are used to support the operations of the legacy venues and future athlete development.
Being high performance sport venues, does that impact what we can do in and around the venue buildings?
Yes, but our venues are very “film friendly” and WSL is committed to working together to achieve your goals.
Do we offer food and beverage and catering?
Whistler Sport Legacies is proud to partner with Whistler Cooks as our primary food and beverage provider for Whistler Olympic Park, including Brandywine Café, and recommended provider for the Whistler Sliding Centre and Whistler Athletes’ Centre. Whistler Cooks can offer a wide variety of food and beverage services to fit every vision and budget.
